Bottling time! This Friday night, July 27th, we'll do two in a row, starting at 6PM and continuing at 8. It is dusty, thirsty work, so be sure to plan accordingly:
  1. comfortable, wine-resistant work clothes
  2. hearty wine laborer snacking food
  3. a bottle o' something
  4. water or soft drink

2011 Vintage Report: It's Bottling Time!

We can now announce that we have a firm bottling date: Friday night, July 27th. Starting at 6PM with the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and then following that up with "The Happy Accident" Petit Sirah/Primitivo.

At last weekend's tasting, the GSM and PS/P demonstrated two poles on the red wine continuum: the former was light-bodied, fruity and tannic, showing a lot of aging potential; the latter was a downright voluptuous blend with a whole lot of everything, including tannins. It will be fascinating to see how these two evolve.

Subscription Alert: This past year saw a few of us fall off the wagon, wine-making-wise. As of today, we have a 3.5 cases of each wine available, so it is imperative that homes are found for these deserving orphans. I'll send a breakdown of current orders in the next email, but in the meantime consider who else might benefit from this sunshine a bottle.

Lastly, draft labels below, continuing on the "harmonious" blending theme...we're beyond the time to put in the label order, so let us know what you think right away.
