Bottling Friday

The time has arrived for bottling the '06 RR Syrah. This Friday, 6-8PM at Bacchus. Bring a bottle of something interesting, and/or little bite(s) and your best wineproducing 'tude.

If you haven't sent in your check for '07, make it out to me (Dennis Murphy) for $167 per case (+ any tips) and bring it with you.

Afterwards, there may be movement towards downtown Redwood City, which will be finishing up with Friday night's Music on the Square show. Last time we went for burgers at City Pub.

Money, Money, Money!

Hello again. As we approach the bottling of '06, we have to prepare for the payin' of '07. In a word, I need checks, made out to moi (">Dennis Murphy) to the amount of $167 (for a case) and mailed to 2102 Harding Avenue, RC, CA 94062. I would like to get everyone's by next Friday's bottling on the 27th.

If you have friends or family interested in joining the fraternal order of the RSWC, now's the time, since we need to cover a half barrel (12 cases).

Wine Train 2007: Time to Get On Board!

When the summer sun beats down on the vines, it is time to think about making some wine. The Redwood Shores Wine Club Express is leavin' the station, and we are now accepting new members into its fraternal order of winemakers.

Presently we are bottling our 2006 Russian River Syrah. We make our wine [and have our winemaking socials] at the Bacchus Winemaking Club, 1697 Industrial Road in San Carlos.

If anyone is interested in the winemaking [and quaffing] process and would like to investigate getting in on the action, contact Dennis Murphy [murphy.dennis@gmail.com] or Annette Vernon [vernhardt@comcast.net]. It is a lot of fun, not very hard, and very rewarding.

An investment of $167 [a bit under $14 a bottle] will yield a case of fine professionally-made vino. With our small batch production, you get to oversee from harvest grape to bottle over the course of four fun yearly events. So act now and, as a special bonus, get in on this month's fun-filled bottling session on Friday, July 27th.
